Misty Morning

I awoke on a misty morning
Silence crept in the back door
And all I used to see, was no more
The clouds had fallen into my garden
And my toes were wet with dew
And I smiled like a child who knew
That Life is only Now
And I ran into the field
With nothing but my nightie on
And fear tried to catch me
But I was too free, too long gone
The tops of the tree’s waved hello
And showed me which way to go
Until I reached the look out
Where the land meets the sea
And realised the fog was inside me
Clouded by the past I wouldn’t let go
And hazy of a future I couldn’t know
But the mist left with the rising sun
And a great expanse filled my lungs
As I looked out and saw so clear
All is One.
